As we prefer to say, Cead Mile
Failte or 100,000 Welcomes!
Santana Row, San Jose - Mina
Shamsaei, owner of Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Santa Cruz,
Ca. has opened her newest restaurant in Santana Row. Mina plans to repeat
the success of her Santa Cruz establishment
in this upscale dinning and retail destination in San Jose. Established in 1995 in the
vibrant downtown area of Santa
Cruz California,
Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and Restaurant has for nearly a decade, provided
great food, fine beverages, music, dancing, and a welcoming environment for
the whole community.
Cead Mile Failte! 100,000
Welcomes! is not just a slogan at Rosie McCann's, it is the mission
statement. Throughout the world today the quintessential image of an Irish
Pub, whether it be in Dublin, Boston or Santa
Cruz, is a neighborhood place where people gather
to share good drink, great food and lots of cheer. The pub has always been
a place of camaraderie; a place where friends meet new friends - and old -
and Rosie McCann's exemplifies the best in Irish hospitality.
Mina took over as the new
owner of Rosie McCann's in 1997. She first began working part time in a
restaurant as a student in college. While working as a waitress she
developed a lifelong passion for the restaurant business. After graduating
from college Mina worked her way up the corporate ladder to become a
marketing executive with a fortune 500 company. During her marketing career
she was trained in Deming quality management principals that a decade later
she brought to the management of her own restaurant; the idea of empowering
employees to create a sense of ownership, bringing the best out of each
employee while investing their creative energy in the restaurant.
